Yes, breakfast is available to add to your reservation, either as à la carte or as a package per person. Breakfast is served by The Long Room, a restaurant and bar next door to the Aura Hotel. 

Yes, we offer complimentary wi-fi to our guests throughout the building and in our lobby.

Parking is self-parking for $75/night pre-tax.

Yes, Aura's Fitness center is newly renovated and equipped with new Peloton machines.
 

Our destination fee is $35 per night and includes Wi-Fi and a welcome drink (one drink per person and two maximum per reservation) at The Long Room, our next-door neighbor.

Note: Includes two drink coupons for a glass of wine, beer, or a soft drink.

No, unfortunately Aura Hotel does not have any rollaway beds on property.

Yes, we love pets ! For your furry friend to stay, we require a $150 fee per pet per stay - pet bed and bowls provided! Maximum 2 pets per room.

Yes. The hotel at 120 W 44th Street reopened as Aura Hotel Times Square in 2024 after a full renovation. Before the rebrand it operated as Hotel Mela, at the same address between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.

It was the Hotel Mela. The building was renovated and renamed Aura Hotel Times Square in 2024, with new rooms, lobby and restaurants Gatsby’s Landing and The Long Room.

Cancellation terms vary depending on the rate or package you book. Flexible rates and advance-purchase offers may have different conditions, so please review the cancellation terms shown during booking and in your confirmation email.

Yes. Our standard check-in time is 4:00 PM and check-out is 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to availability and may carry an additional fee. We also occasionally offer packages that include a later check-out.

Yes. A credit card is required at check-in and a refundable authorization is placed on the card for incidentals or potential damages. The authorization is released after departure, subject to the issuing bank’s processing time.

We accept major credit and debit cards. Cash is not accepted. Guests should bring a valid photo ID and the card being used for the stay at check-in.

Our accommodations range from cozy Midtown guestrooms to spacious penthouses. Standard Full rooms are approximately 165 sq. ft., Superior Queens 190 sq. ft., Deluxe Queens and Kings 220 sq. ft., Executive Kings 300 sq. ft., and One Bedroom Suites 365 sq. ft. Our Marquee Penthouse is approximately 550–600 sq. ft., while the Garland Penthouse offers approximately 900 sq. ft.

Yes. Guestrooms include a laptop-compatible safe, iron and ironing board, and hairdryer. Our rooms also feature Nespresso machines and Molton Brown bath amenities.

Yes. Our guestrooms feature climate-controlled air conditioning and heating so you can adjust the room for your comfort throughout the year.

Not at this time but our primary dining experiences are located immediately next door at The Long Room and Gatsby’s Landing, offering breakfast, lunch, dinner, drinks and late-night dining options.

No. Our front desk features some services that align with business center/printing offerings but we don't have a dedicated business center.

We are located at 120 West 44th Street, between Times Square and Bryant Park. Taxis and rideshare services are available from all three major airports. Public transportation is also convenient:

From JFK: Take the AirTrain to Jamaica, then the Long Island Rail Road toward Manhattan. From Grand Central Madison, Aura is approximately a 10–15 minute walk or a short taxi ride. The subway is another option via Jamaica.

From LaGuardia: Take the Q70 LaGuardia Link to Jackson Heights/Roosevelt Avenue, then connect to the subway toward Midtown. The F train brings you to 42 St–Bryant Park, approximately a 5-minute walk from Aura.

From Newark: Take AirTrain Newark to Newark Liberty International Airport Rail Station, then NJ TRANSIT to New York Penn Station. From there, continue by subway, taxi or rideshare to the hotel. NJ TRANSIT estimates the airport-to-Penn rail trip at about 30 minutes.

We are exceptionally well connected. 42 St–Bryant Park/5 Av, about a 5-minute walk away, serves the B, D, F, M and 7 trains. Times Sq–42 St, about a 4–6 minute walk away, provides access to the 1, 2, 3, 7, N, Q, R, W and S trains, with connections to the A, C and E at the 42 St–Port Authority complex.

We do not currently advertise a dedicated Aura Hotel airport shuttle. Taxis, rideshare services and public transportation are readily available from JFK, LaGuardia and Newark.

Yes. We provide luggage storage for hotel guests for $5 per bag, making it easy to enjoy the city before check-in or after checking out.

Aura is located in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, just steps from Times Square, Broadway and Bryant Park, in one of New York City’s busiest visitor districts. Our Front Desk is staffed 24 hours a day. As in any major city, we recommend remaining aware of your surroundings, particularly late at night and in crowded areas.

For the security and comfort of our guests, guestrooms are limited to registered hotel guests. If you need to add someone to your reservation, please speak with our Front Desk team.

No, Aura Hotel Times Square does not have a swimming pool. We do have a newly renovated fitness center featuring Peloton equipment.
